This beautiful garden has  an established  route through for deer which is impossible to change unless you were to totally fence off the perimeter of the garden.

Our clients preferred not to do that so,  while deer tend to eat most plants they tend to stay away from plants with aromatic leaves or furry ones.

We decided to plant the garden using a simple pallet of colour and form.  The plants are specifically chosen to soften the contemporary deck. We chose an ethereal scheme  which  is uplifting and mystical, complimenting the view across the landscape.

Stipa Gigantea and Salvia Amastaad are the mainstay, an edging of nepeta and gaps filled with echinacea. 

The colour scheme is grey/blue leaves, purple and pinks with a splash of white.
