Complete Garden Design

Complete Garden Design

If you are looking for a completely new garden because you have the opportunity to start afresh then Susanne would love to help!

​

A full garden design service involves a consultancy visit to establish a brief and discuss budget, concept drawings and 3d models, detail drawings and planting ideas.

She will then price the garden for building it and set a date to start on site. 

​

Susanne is very much hands on and will be involved in the project management and sometimes on the tools to speed things along and to ensure that it is built exactly right.

LANDSCAPING

Susanne now offers a full landscaping service alongside her design work.

We can build dry stone walls, patios, ponds, paths, retaining walls, gravel gardens, lay patios, build steps and so on!

​

Susanne also has plumbers and electricians and gas engineers on team so building in lighting, water features, kitchens, fireplaces and gas lit firepits is an easy connect!

​

  The seamless journey from concept design to a completed garden is an easy transition.

Garden Refurbishment

Your garden may  have just got away with itself over the years and it's time to bring it back into shape; or you have inherited at garden that is overgrown and needs taming but where to start?!

Susanne can organise the refurbishment using her skills to see through the mess or tangle and bring the garden back to the harmonious place you are looking for.

Border Redesign

Susanne can create new border designs like this one which has new plants in it. It is site specific so the plants will thrive in this location which has dappled shade. There are structural plants in the border to anchor it through the seasons and perennials for the fresh colour factor.

consultancy  & Garden Advice

Susanne can spend typically 90 minutes with you in your own garden to understand and learn what  you want from it. She can provide advice on how to manage your plants or what improvements could be made to make it better for you.

There is a standard charge for her visit.

For full garden designs we produce 3d imagery and sometimes photomontages to demonstrate what the garden will look like in reality.

Maintenance & Aftercare

Susanne can arrange trusted gardeners through THYME IN THE GARDEN to manage and maintain your garden. 

​

Susanne's gardeners each have strong work ethics, are reliable and trusting and together provide the type of service that clients want.

Plant Supply

The whole process of plant sourcing, plant supply and planting is done from  here including soil improvement and dressing.

 

We can source plants from reliable nurseries nearby keeping our carbon footprint down to a minimum. 

​

We can also obtain mature trees, topiary plants, bareroot and potted.

​

As part of our garden design, we take a lead in positioning plants and then planting them out.

 

We use composts from reputable companies who can deliver in bulk as required and we can advise on which compost is best for your garden.
