When I saw the garden in early Spring 2021 it was overgrown with shrubs, borage and Spanish bluebells yet it oozed with charm and character.
My client was open to ideas -
he knew that the garden wasn't working but he didn't know where to start . . . .
We surveyed the garden so that we could get a sense of its scale and designed a new planting plan with roses, penstemons, verbascum and lavenders.
Happy Ever After Pictures
Take a look at some of images that describe the garden better than words!
The overgrown shrubs are either taken out or trimmed right back.
The brick steps take up the change in level and lavender edges the paths
The pergola was designed to inject a contemporary element into the garden as a lift into the 21st Century.
The brick paths are cleaned and repointed, the doors to the original privy are painted
